Beginning Tuesday, October 6th, and continuing each Tuesday until November 17th, ICA is offering a unique seven-week Leadership program based on a book entitled The Courage to Lead - Transform Self, Transform Society.

This non-traditional leadership program has an emphasis on personal growth and reflection, and will be of interest to anyone seeking to develop
themselves as leaders in all walks of life. It is about the foundational context for leadership. The study is not about leadership skills development.

Courage to Lead
, co-published by ICA Canada and New Society Publishers, starts from the premise that, to transform society, we first need to transform ourselves. It presents twelve “stances”, deep inner convictions that can be manifested externally and are needed for effective and sustained leadership. Its message is simple: if you relate authentically to life, to yourself, to the world, and to society, you can not only begin the process of social change from where you are right now, but you can be a leader as well.

The book Courage to Lead explores four major areas:

  • Individual’s relation to life
  • Relation to the self
  • Relation to the world
  • Relation to society
  • ICA Canada holds studies groups on “ Courage to Lead” through out the year. The sessions take a fun, enlivening and deep look at poetry, stories and personal experience.

To learn more about these study groups and how to get involved please contact project coordinator Duncan Holmes at dholmes@ica-associates.ca or by phone at 416 691 2316 ext. 227
